dc.description | Soccer, as an amateur sport, faces significant challenges related to injury prevention, especially in the lower extremities. These injuries not only have an impact on sports performance, but can also have long-term repercussions on the physical health of soccer players. The present research study was conducted at the Federación Deportiva de los Ríos, Cantón Babahoyo and its objective was to determine the intrinsic factors and their impact on lower limb injuries in amateur soccer players during the period November 2023 - April 2024. Variables such as age, gender, body mass index, type of injury, frequency, and training hours, among others, were analyzed. The methodology employed is the inductive, deductive method with non-experimental, descriptive and bibliographic approach, survey and observation were used as measurement techniques. The data were collected from the sample which consisted of 70 soccer players between 10 and 21 years of age, male and female, and it was found that 39% suffered greater affectations in the ankle and knee. Sprains, dislocations, partial rupture of the anterior or posterior cruciate ligament and meniscal tears were the most frequent. In order to identify them, an exhaustive anamnesis was performed, including functional assessment. In conclusion, it is essential to identify and modify intrinsic factors: muscle strength, flexibility and movement technique. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
