dc.description | The present clinical case is about a 22-year-old male patient who comes to the optometrist's office and is diagnosed with chromatic alteration and diminution of visual acuity. This case is important because, currently, visual problems have increased significantly and are affecting the quality of life of the population. The methodology adopts a descriptive, cross-sectional, field and exploratory study to analyze in depth the visual problems affecting the 22-year-old patient. This methodological approach was selected because it allows a detailed understanding of the patient's visual problems and the exploration of possible solutions to improve his visual problems associated with chromatic alterations and decreased visual acuity. The findings reveal the presence of mild myopia and low astigmatism in both eyes and congenital dyschromatopsia specifically Protan. After prescription of corrective lenses and guidance on healthy visual habits, a significant improvement in the patient's visual acuity is observed. Education about color perception deficiency is also crucial to its management. This case highlights the importance of a comprehensive optometric evaluation, personalized treatment and patient education to improve the patient's visual quality of life. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
