dc.descriptionObstetric Psychoprophylaxis is a comprehensive preparation that is offered during pregnancy, childbirth and/or postpartum. The objective of this research project is to determine the characteristics and benefits of Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis in patients treated at the Las Piñas health center – Milagro, November 2023 – April 2024. The methodology applied was descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional cohort using a qualitative and quantitative approach. The information was collected through a survey directed at a specific group of patients who participated in the Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis Program at the Las Piñas-Milagro Health Center. The sample consisted of 88 patients according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of this research study revealed a sociodemographic diversity, the average age was 20 to 30 years with 68%, the level of secondary education completed or in progress with 73% and the majority only had one child with the 46. %. Compliance with attendance at the 6 sessions of Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis was highlighted as a relevant characteristic with 69%. Maternal benefits were observed, such as reduced anxiety during pregnancy and childbirth by 85% and 82% respectively, and neonatal benefits, with a lower need for medical interventions of the newborn after delivery, with 89%. In addition, it was found that 85% of the patients who participated in Obstetric Psychoprophylaxis showed a greater tendency to vaginal delivery.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa Psicoprofilaxis Obstétrica es una preparación integral, que se ofrece durante el embarazo, parto y/o postparto, el presente proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar las características y beneficios de la Psicoprofilaxis Obstétrica en las pacientes atendidas en el centro de salud Las Piñas – Milagro, noviembre 2023 – abril 2024. La metodología que se aplico fue de tipo descriptivo, no experimental, de cohorte transversal utilizando un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo. La información fue recolectada a través de una encuesta dirigida a un grupo específico de pacientes que participaron en el Programa de Psicoprofilaxis Obstétrica en el Centro de Salud Las Piñas- Milagro. La muestra estuvo constituida por 88 pacientes de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Los resultados de este estudio de investigación revelaron, una diversidad sociodemográfica, la edad promedio fue de 20 a 30 años con un 68%, nivel de educación secundaria completa o en curso con un 73% y el 46% solo contaba con un hijo. El cumplimiento de asistencia a las 6 sesiones de Psicoprofilaxis Obstétrica fue destacado como una característica relevante con un 69%. Se observaron beneficios maternos, como la reducción de la ansiedad durante el embarazo y parto en un 85% y 82% respectivamente, y neonatales como una menor necesidad de intervenciones médicas del recién nacido después del parto, con un 89%. Además, se encontró que el 85% de las pacientes que participaron en la Psicoprofilaxis Obstétrica mostraron una mayor tendencia al parto vaginal.es_ES
