dc.descriptionThe present curricular research work emphasized mental health disorders derived from an unhealthy work environment in the hospital area, which represent a serious public health problem, but which, however, is an undervalued topic that does not receive the necessary attention that is required to solve this problem. The objective was to analyze the impact of the work environment on the development of mental health problems in rotating interns at the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital. This research was with a quantitative, basic and field approach with a descriptive, prospective study level and transversal temporal dimension. The data collection was done through the implementation of a survey, whose instrument was a questionnaire of 15 objective questions aimed at obtaining relevant information on the subject subject to investigation and through the analysis and synthesis research modality it was concluded that: the work environment with extrinsic and intrinsic psychosocial risks such as interpersonal relationships (50%), exhausting work hours (17%), lack of motivation (13%), no hospital experience (33%), personal demotivation (24%) and many other factors trigger the abrupt origin of mental problems, among which are described work stress (32%), depression and anxiety (15%), consumption of harmful substances (2%), self-harming behaviors (1%), etc.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación curricular hizo énfasis en los trastornos de salud mental derivados de un ambiente laboral poco saludable en el área hospitalaria, los cuales representan un grave problema de salud pública, pero que, sin embargo, es un tema infravalorado que no recibe la atención necesaria que se requiere para dar solución a esta problemática. El objetivo fue, analizar la repercusión del ambiente laboral en el desarrollo de problemas de salud mental en los internos rotativos del Hospital Alfredo Noboa Montenegro. Esta investigación fue con enfoque cuantitativo, básica y de campo con nivel de estudio descriptivo, prospectivo y dimensión temporal transversal. La recolección de datos se hizo mediante la implementación de una encuesta, cuyo instrumento fue un cuestionario de 15 preguntas objetivas destinadas a obtener información relevante del tema sujeto a investigación y a través de la modalidad de investigación de análisis y síntesis se concluyó que: el ambiente laboral con riesgo psicosociales extrínsecos e intrínsecos tales como las relaciones interpersonales (50%), jornadas laborales extenuantes (17%), falta de motivación (13%), nula experiencia hospitalaria (33%), desmotivación personal (24%) y muchos otros factores desencadenan el origen abrupto de problemas mentales entre los cuales se describen el estrés laboral (32%), depresión y ansiedad (15%), consumo de sustancias nocivas (2%), conductas autolíticas (1%), etc.es_ES
