dc.descriptionHypertensive disorders of pregnancy increased by 10.92% in 30 years, with an incidence that increased from 16.30 to 18.08 million cases and 27,830 deaths. In Latin America, the incidence and mortality rate are 329 and 420 per 100,000 people, respectively. They are conditions that can affect the course of pregnancy and cause the death of the mother and baby. The range of these diseases goes from chronic hypertension to eclampsia. Nurses are essential in treating hypertensive disorders and other pregnancy conditions, standing out in prevention and health promotion. Nurses stand out for their clinical and critical judgment, which is reflected in the identification of human responses and the development of nursing diagnoses and interventions. The aim of the research is to determine nursing care in pregnant women with hypertensive disorders in the gynecology area of the IESS General Hospital, Babahoyo during the period November 2023 - April 2024. The methodology used was quantitative, descriptive, and field, 150 pregnant patients treated in the gynecology area of the IESS General Hospital in the city of Babahoyo and 7 members of the nursing staff were used during the period November 2023 - April 2024. The result was that nursing interventions are fulfilled in 100% of cases; Furthermore, the main associated risk factors were maternal history of hypertensive disorders, previous pregnancies, overweight, and consumption of harmful substances.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLos trastornos hipertensivos del embarazo aumentaron un 10,92 % en 30 años, con una incidencia que pasó de 16,30 a 18,08 millones de casos y 27.830 muertes. En América Latina, la tasa de incidencia y mortalidad es de 329 y 420 por cada 100,000 personas, respectivamente. Son afecciones que pueden afectar el curso del embarazo y causar la muerte de la madre y el bebé. El rango de estas enfermedades va desde la hipertensión crónica hasta la eclampsia. Las enfermeras son fundamentales en tratar trastornos hipertensivos y otras afecciones del embarazo, destacándose en prevención y promoción de la salud. El enfermero destaca por su juicio clínico y crítico, que se refleja en la identificación de respuestas humanas y la elaboración de diagnósticos e intervenciones de enfermería. El objetivo de la investigación es determinar los cuidados en enfermería en gestantes con trastornos hipertensivos en el área de ginecología del Hospital General IESS, Babahoyo durante el periodo noviembre 2023 – abril 2024. La metodología empleada fue de tipo cuantitativa, descriptiva y de campo, se utilizó fue de 150 pacientes embarazadas atendidas en el área de ginecología del Hospital General IESS de la ciudad de Babahoyo y 7 miembros del personal de enfermería durante el periodo noviembre 2023 – abril 2024. Se obtuvo como resultado que las intervenciones de enfermería se cumplen en un 100% de los casos; además, los principales factores de riesgos asociados fueron los antecedentes maternos de trastornos hipertensivos, las gestas previas, el sobrepeso y consumo de sustancias nocivas.es_ES
