dc.descriptionThe main objective of the present study is to study in depth the influence of the teaching of basic values on the academic performance of elementary school students, addressing the complex problem of how these principles affect such performance. To achieve this, a mixed methodology was adopted, integrating both qualitative and quantitative aspects, thus allowing a more complete view of the phenomenon studied. The results obtained reveal a trend in the perception of the teaching of basic values and their impact on the academic performance of the students of the Escuela E.B Real Audiencia de Quito del Cantón Ventana. However, it is crucial to point out that a significant segment of the respondents expressed that this influence is limited, evidencing a diversity of opinions regarding the real impact of the teaching of these values on academic performance. As outstanding conclusions of the research, the valuable contribution of this study to the understanding of the relationship between core values and school performance is highlighted. However, the need for further research to refine intervention strategies and maximize the positive impact on children's comprehensive development is recognized. dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio tiene como objetivo principal profundizar en la influencia de la enseñanza de los valores básicos en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de educación básica, abordando la compleja problemática de cómo estos principios inciden en dicho rendimiento. Para lograrlo, se adoptó una metodología mixta que integró tanto aspectos cualitativos como cuantitativos, permitiendo así una visión más completa del fenómeno estudiado. Los resultados obtenidos revelan una tendencia en la percepción de la enseñanza de los valores básicos y su impacto en el desempeño académico de los estudiantes de la Escuela E.B Real Audiencia de Quito del Cantón Ventana. Sin embargo, es crucial señalar que un segmento significativo de los encuestados expresó que esta influencia es limitada, evidenciando una diversidad de opiniones en cuanto al impacto real de la enseñanza de estos valores en el rendimiento académico. Como conclusiones destacadas de la investigación, se resalta el valioso aporte de este estudio en el entendimiento de la relación entre los valores básicos y el desempeño escolar. No obstante, se reconoce la necesidad de seguir investigando para perfeccionar las estrategias de intervención y maximizar el impacto positivo en el desarrollo integral de los niños.
