dc.description | Burnout is defined as a syndrome that is characterized by the appearance of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and decreased personal fulfillment in the field. On the other hand, work performance is the behaviors or actions that can be observed in workers, which are of great importance to achieve the objectives of the organization. This Curricular Integration Project focuses on the analysis of Burnout and Work Performance in teachers of the FCJSE belonging to the Technical University of Babahoyo. The general objective of the research is to determine the impact of burnout on the work performance of teachers.
In order to fulfill the proposed objective, bibliographic research was carried out with regard to the dependent and independent variables, and data collection instruments such as the survey and the Maslach Burnout Inventory in its edition for teachers (MBI-Ed) were applied to address the research problem, which allowed obtaining relevant information to prove the research hypothesis.
The results obtained show that burnout affects the work performance of teachers, since in the MBI-Ed it was determined that 58% of teachers present a severe level, likewise in the work performance, after the analysis of the results, the most relevant points are that 51% of teachers consider that work overload affects their performance, on the other hand, 51% believe that the deadlines established for work activities are not sufficient to finish them. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El Burnout es definido como un síndrome que es singularizado por la aparición del agotamiento emocional, la despersonalización y la disminución de realización personal en el campo. Por su parte el desempeño laboral son los comportamientos o las acciones que se pueden observar en los trabajadores los cuales son de gran importancia para alcanzar los objetivos de la organización. El presente Proyecto de Integración Curricular se enfoca en el Análisis del Burnout y Desempeño Laboral en los docentes de la FCJSE perteneciente a la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo. Siendo el objetivo general de la investigación, determinar la afectación del burnout en el desempeño laboral de los docentes.
Para cumplir con el objetivo propuesto, se realizó una investigación bibliográfica con lo que respecta a las variables dependiente e independiente, y se aplicaron instrumentos de recolección de datos como la encuesta y el Maslach Burnout Inventory en su edición para docentes (MBI-Ed) para abordar la problemática de la investigación, los cuales permitieron obtener información relevante para comprobar la hipótesis de investigación planteada.
Los resultados obtenidos evidencian que el burnout afecta en el desempeño laboral de los docentes, puesto que en el MBI-Ed se determinó que un 58% de los docentes presenta un nivel severo, así mismo en el desempeño laboral, tras el análisis de los resultados, se destacan como puntos más relevantes que un 51% de los docentes consideran que la sobrecarga laboral afecta en su desempeño, por otra parte, el 51% creen que los plazos establecidos para las actividades laborales no son suficientes para terminarlas. | es_ES |
