| dc.description | This case study on inventory control in the hardware store "Hiper Riego" in Pueblo Viejo, Los Ríos province, for the period 2023 - 2024 aims to provide information on inventory control and use the PEPS (First in, First out) and CPP (Cost weighted average) methods. Generally the entities that are dedicated to the purchase and sale of products have someone destined to fulfill the function of having and carrying an exhaustive control of the inventories and to manage the processes that are required to be done. The company Hiper Riego only has empirical records by hand and in an Excel sheet, i.e. it does not know what is its initial balance of stock for each of the items it sells and does not know what is the actual balance to date, its record only shows the number of units leaving daily, but there is no record of the units entering the business. What does this cause? Well, we run out of stock in a certain product and we can not meet the demand and subsequent loss of customers or have too much product stored causing it to deteriorate or expire and generate losses. Employing either PEPS or CPP method will be beneficial in keeping track of all merchandise entering and leaving the hardware store. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso control de inventarios en la ferretería “Hiper Riego” del cantón Pueblo Viejo de la provincia de Los Ríos en el periodo 2023 - 2024 pretende dar a conocer todo lo concerniente a control de inventario y emplear el método PEPS (Primeras en entrar y primeras en salir) y CPP (Costo de promedio ponderado). Generalmente las entidades que se dedican a la compra y venta de productos tienen alguien destinado a cumplir la función de tener y llevar un control exhaustivo de los inventarios y gestionar los procesos que se requieran hacer. La empresa Hiper Riego solo tiene registros empíricos a mano y en una hoja de Excel, es decir esta no sabe cuál es su saldo inicial de existencias por cada uno de los artículos que este comercializa y tampoco sabe cuál es el saldo real a la fecha su registro solo muestra las cantidades de unidades que salen diarias, pero no existe registros de las unidades que entran al negocio. ¿Qué provoca esto? Pues que nos quedemos sin existencias en un cierto producto y no podamos satisfacer la demanda y posterior pérdida de clientes o tener demasiado producto almacenado provocando que esta se deteriore o caduque y genere perdías. Emplear cualquiera de los métodos ya sea el PEPS o el CPP será beneficioso para llevar un control de toda la mercancía que entra y salen de la ferretería. | es_ES |
