The research justifies its relevance due to the urgent need to understand and rectify the negative trends compromising the sustainability and economic growth of commercial enterprises. Adopting a mixed methodological approach, which combines qualitative and quantitative analysis, significant variations in revenue were identified, examining underlying causes such as a decrease in sales, inefficiencies in inventory control, and poor budget management. The results reveal a 27.87% drop in ordinary activity revenue, accompanied by an increase in indebtedness and a decrease in operational and net profitability, signaling financial management facing significant challenges. The conclusions emphasize the importance of improving marketing strategies, optimizing financing structure and cost management, and adopting corrective measures to address the financial challenges identified, with the goal of promoting sustainable economic growth and improving the competitive position of Market Foods and Alsecost Services S.A. in the market.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl caso de estudio sobre Market Alimentos y Servicios Alsecost S.A. aborda la preocupante disminución de utilidades entre 2021 y 2022, un reflejo de los desafíos en la gestión financiera en el contexto empresarial dinámico y competitivo de Guayaquil. La investigación justifica su relevancia por la urgente necesidad de comprender y rectificar las tendencias negativas que comprometen la sostenibilidad y el crecimiento económico de las empresas comerciales. Adoptando un enfoque metodológico mixto, que combina análisis cualitativos y cuantitativos, se identificaron variaciones significativas en los ingresos, examinando las causas subyacentes como la disminución en las ventas, ineficiencias en el control de inventarios, y una gestión presupuestaria deficiente. Los resultados revelan una caída del 27.87% en los ingresos de actividades ordinarias, acompañada de un incremento en el endeudamiento y una disminución en la rentabilidad operacional y neta, lo que señala una gestión financiera que enfrenta retos significativos.
