dc.description | The case study of the El Maestro Automotive Hardware Store, located in the Baba canton, Los Ríos province, Ecuador, focuses on analyzing the variation in income during the periods 2021-2022, a topic of utmost importance to understand the challenges and opportunities that the company faces within the automotive sector. The need to understand how economic fluctuations and internal decisions affect the sustainability and growth of the entity amply justifies this study. By establishing a connection between financial management and profitability, we seek to identify the causes and consequences that allow the hardware store to understand and prosper in this changing environment. The methodology adopted to address this study combines quantitative and qualitative approaches, including the analysis of financial indicators and conducting interviews with company personnel. The results reveal a decline in revenue, highlighting the importance of inventory diversification and more efficient management as a means to improve profitability. The findings highlight the need to implement sound strategic planning, to improve inventory management and adopt financial management practices that respond effectively to market fluctuations. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El caso de estudio de la Ferretería Automotriz El Maestro, ubicada en el cantón Baba, provincia de Los Ríos, Ecuador, se centra en analizar la variación de los ingresos durante los períodos 2021-2022, un tema de suma importancia para comprender los desafíos y oportunidades a los que se enfrenta la empresa dentro del sector automotriz. La necesidad de entender cómo las fluctuaciones económicas y las decisiones internas afectan la sostenibilidad y el crecimiento de la entidad justifica ampliamente este estudio. Al establecer conexión entre la gestión financiera y la rentabilidad, se busca identificar las causas y consecuencias que permitan a la ferretería comprender y prosperar en este entorno cambiante. La metodología adoptada para abordar este estudio combina enfoques cuantitativos y cualitativos, incluyendo el análisis de indicadores financieros y la realización de entrevistas con personal de la empresa. Los resultados revelan una disminución en los ingresos de actividades ordinarias, resaltando la importancia de la diversificación del inventario y la gestión más eficiente como medios para mejorar la rentabilidad.
