| dc.description | The case study focuses on the incidence of alcoholism on the mental health of a 40-year-old man from Ventanas canton. Alcoholism is a chronic disease characterized by excessive and uncontrolled alcohol consumption, which can have serious consequences for physical and mental health. On the other hand, mental health refers to the emotional, psychological and social state of a person, which can influence his or her ability to face life's challenges. In this study, psychological assessment techniques and instruments were used to gain an in-depth understanding of the relationship between alcoholism and mental health in 40-year-old men. Descriptive research with a qualitative approach was carried out, which allowed the collection of detailed information about the patient's problems. As a result of this study, a therapeutic scheme is proposed to address the problem of alcoholism in mental health. This therapeutic scheme is based on the combination of different techniques of cognitive-behavioral therapy. The objective is to provide people with the necessary tools to overcome their addiction and improve their mental health in general. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El estudio de caso se centra en la incidencia del alcoholismo en la salud mental de un hombre de 40 años del cantón Ventanas. El alcoholismo es una enfermedad crónica que se caracteriza por el consumo excesivo y descontrolado de alcohol, lo que puede tener graves consecuencias para la salud física y mental. Por otro lado, la salud mental se refiere al estado emocional, psicológico y social de una persona, que puede influir en su capacidad para enfrentar los desafíos de la vida. En este estudio, se utilizaron técnicas e instrumentos de evaluación psicológica para comprender en profundidad la relación entre el alcoholismo y la salud mental del hombre de 40 años. Se llevó a cabo una investigación descriptiva con enfoque cualitativo, lo que permitió recopilar información detallada de la problemática del paciente. Como resultado de este estudio, se plantea un esquema terapéutico para abordar la problemática del alcoholismo en la salud mental. Este esquema terapéutico se basa en la combinación de diferentes técnicas de la terapia cognitivo-conductual. El objetivo es brindarle al hombre las herramientas necesarias para superar su adicción y mejorar su salud mental en general. | es_ES |
