For many, this change is a setback in the person's functionality, because one of the most important characteristics of this period is the loss of independence, finally, the research topic of evaluation of the cognitive functions and quality of life of an adult over 80 years of age from Quevedo is raised, in which it is intended to comply with the general objective of evaluating the cognitive functions of an adult over 80 years of age in a gerontological center in the city of Quevedo, in order to develop a treatment plan that contributes to the quality of life of the older adult, for this it is necessary to establish specific objectives; First, investigate the different bibliographic sources on the cognitive functions and quality of life of the elderly. Second, apply psychological evaluation instruments to determine the state of cognitive functions and quality of life of an older adult. Third, present a treatment plan that allows the stimulation of cognitive functions and contributes to the quality of life of the older adult. | dc.description.abstract | Uno de los cambios más significativos que tiene el ser humanos es la transición de la adultez a la adultez mayor, para muchos este cambio es un retroceso en la funcionalidad de la persona, debido a que una de las características más importante de este periodo es la perdida de la independencia, por ende, se plantea el tema de investigación de evaluación de las funciones cognitivas y la calidad de vida de un adulto mayor de 80 años de Quevedo, en el cual se pretende cumplir con el objetivo general de evaluar las funciones cognitivas de un adulto mayor de 80 años edad en un centro gerontológico de la ciudad de Quevedo, con el fin de elaborar un plan tratamiento que contribuya a la calidad de vida del adulto mayor, para ello es necesario establecer como objetivos específicos; primero, investigar en las diferentes fuentes bibliográficas sobre las funciones cognitivas y la calidad de vida del adulto mayor. Segundo, aplicar instrumentos de evaluación psicológica para determinar el estado de las funciones cognitivas y calidad de vida de un adulto mayor. Tercero, presentar un plan de tratamiento que permita la estimulación de las funciones cognitivas y aporte a la calidad de vida de adulto mayor.
