dc.description | This case study focuses on a 14-year-old adolescent who has an adjustment disorder due to family problems and anxiety. Through clinical tools, key stressors are identified including changes in family dynamics, financial difficulties, and lack of privacy due to sharing a room with your brother. These stressors have contributed to the patient's symptomatology, which encompasses emotional, cognitive and behavioral symptoms, including marked social isolation.
The diagnosis is based on the DSM-5 and supports adjustment disorder with anxiety. Family dysfunction and lack of effective communication in the family are identified as predisposing factors. Recommended therapy includes individual therapy to address the adolescent's symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as family therapy to improve communication and resolve conflicts within the family.
The development of social skills, education about adjustment disorder and the implementation of coping strategies to manage stress are proposed. Continuous monitoring and evaluation of safety is essential. This case highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach that addresses both emotional, family and social aspects to promote the long-term well-being of the adolescent. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
