Ltda. in Guayaquil, challenges are being faced that affect this control. These problems include lack of proper recording and tracking, poor management of expiration and obsolescence, inaccurate demand forecasts, and communication problems with suppliers. These difficulties can have a negative impact on operational efficiency, financial losses and the ability to meet customer needs on time. Waste management is crucial from an environmental and regulatory perspective in the manufacturing of parts for heavy machinery. Improving inventory control and addressing these challenges is critical to the success of Vicametal Cía. Ltd. in Guayaquil. It is based on documentary research that collects, analyzes and synthesizes information from existing sources, such as books, scientific journals and scientific articles. Its main objective is to obtain knowledge on a specific subject without the need to carry out experiments or field research. In this case, it is used to understand inventory control, the use of IAS 2 for inventory management, and the classification of waste for reuse. An analytical approach is used that breaks down the problem into smaller components and is combined with desk research to gather information and understand the types of inventories that the Vicametal company has in the period 2022, which include raw materials, components, parts in process and finished products. The methodology focuses on the efficient planning and management of materials to balance availability and reduce costs associated with storage and obsolescence.es_ES
