The present investigation was conducted at the "José Daniel Rodríguez Maridueña" Infectology Hospital during the second semester of 2023, focusing on patients with Pulmonary Fibrosis. The main objective was to understand the prevalence of the disease, identify risk factors involved, and determine the average age of patients diagnosed during that period. The methodology used was cross-sectional and retrospective, involving a thorough analysis of medical records to gather details of each case. The results revealed an approximate prevalence of 0.04% of Pulmonary Fibrosis at the "José Daniel Rodríguez Maridueña" Infectology Hospital during the second semester of 2023. Among the identified risk factors, 57% of patients had a history of smoking, 19% were affected by their daily environment, 13% were passive smokers, 7% did not present apparent risk factors, suggesting genetic influence, and 4% had a history of secretion aspiration due to gastroesophageal reflux. The average age of patients with Pulmonary Fibrosis was 72 years, and the most affected gender was male, accounting for 58% of cases.es_ES
