This case study focuses on analyzing the benefits that a drone surveillance system would provide for the farm of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at UTB. The objective is to evaluate the feasibility of a drone surveillance system that improves the security of the livestock herd of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the UTB. The current security problems that exist in the FACIAG were studied, the different alternatives of programmable drones on the market, compiling their characteristics and prices, four drone models were selected: DJI Matrice 300 RTK, Parrot PF728000 ANAFI, DJI Tello and Mini drone Ryze DJI Tello. Interviews were carried out with engineers, a survey was carried out with students in the eighth semester of the Information Systems degree. The responses obtained from the interviews and the survey confirmed that a drone surveillance system would have multiple benefits, which is why its feasibility is favorable. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that there is a great diversity of benefits that are provided by a drone surveillance system for the FACIAG farm, which is why they provide a viable and optimal solution that can significantly improve efficiency in security and monitoring of the farm. livestock, generating future benefits for the institution and its animals.es_ES
