dc.description | Trauma to the brain is a medical term considered to be an injury to the head area caused by an external blow, which is predictable. It is classified as a global health problem with high mortality rates, depending on its level of severity. In addition, it involves a set of effects on people's living conditions and enormous expenditure for the public health area. The outcome of the clinical case is based on an older adult with head trauma. This pathology involves damage to the brain caused by trauma to the skull. The brain, which together with the spinal cord makes up the Central Nervous System, is protected by the skull and is formed by the cerebrum, the cerebellum and the medulla oblongata. Through this study, we want to highlight that experts in the field of nursing reflect the role of functional elements of health, playing an indispensable role in the proper care of these patients, using methods and attitudes according to the needs that they need. presents each individual. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El Traumatismo Craneoencefálico, es un término médico considerado como una lesión en el área de la cabeza causada por un golpe externo, la misma que es anticipable. Es catalogado como una problemática en la salud mundial con elevados índices de mortalidad, dependiendo de su nivel de gravedad, además, involucra un conjunto de efectos para las condiciones de vida de las personas y un gasto enorme para el área de salud pública. El desenlace del caso clínico está fundamentado en un adulto mayor con traumatismo craneoencefálico. Esta patología implica un daño en el encéfalo producido por un trauma a nivel del cráneo. El encéfalo, que acompañado con la médula espinal conforman el Sistema Nervioso Central, este lo protege el cráneo y lo forman el cerebro, el cerebelo y el bulbo raquídeo. Por medio de este estudio, se quiere resaltar que los expertos en el campo de la enfermería, reflejan el papel de elementos funcionales de la salud, ejerciendo un rol indispensable en el debido cuidado de estos pacientes, empleando métodos y actitudes acorde a las necesidades que presenta cada individuo. | es_ES |
