dc.description | In this case study, the feasibility and benefits of automating administrative processes at Living's Hotel, located in the city of Babahoyo, are examined. The main objective is to improve efficiency, reduce errors and optimize hotel management in general. To achieve this, various technologies and solutions available on the market were researched and evaluated, considering key criteria such as scalability, integration, ease of use and information security. Current hotel processes such as front desk, reservations, HR management, and finance have been identified as error prone, inefficient, and time and resource consuming due to lack of automation. Technological solutions such as PMS systems, financial management software, automation tools, and other specialized systems have been proposed to address these shortcomings. Financial analysis reveals that despite initial implementation, training, and maintenance costs, automation delivers a positive return on investment (ROI) in a reasonable amount of time, thanks to time savings, reduced errors, and improved in efficiency. This case study demonstrates the importance of considering technology as a key tool for efficient hotel management and highlights how the automation of administrative processes can benefit both staff and guests, while improving the competitiveness of Hotel Living's in Babahoyo. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | En este caso de estudio, se examina la viabilidad y los beneficios de la automatización de los procesos administrativos en el Hotel Living's, ubicado en la ciudad de Babahoyo. El objetivo principal es mejorar la eficiencia, reducir errores y optimizar la gestión hotelera en general. Para lograr esto, se investigaron y evaluaron diversas tecnologías y soluciones disponibles en el mercado, considerando criterios clave como la escalabilidad, la integración, la facilidad de uso y la seguridad de la información. Los procesos actuales del hotel, como la recepción, las reservas, la gestión de recursos humanos y las finanzas, se han identificado como propensos a errores, ineficientes y con un alto consumo de tiempo y recursos debido a la falta de automatización. Se han propuesto soluciones tecnológicas como sistemas de PMS, software de gestión financiera, herramientas de automatización y otros sistemas especializados para abordar estas deficiencias. El análisis financiero revela que, a pesar de los costos iniciales de implementación, capacitación y mantenimiento, la automatización ofrece un retorno de la inversión (ROI) positivo en un plazo razonable, gracias a los ahorros de tiempo, la reducción de errores y la mejora en la eficiencia.
