Peripheral artery disease commonly refers to atherosclerotic narrowing of non-coronary arteries; This research focuses on risk factors for peripheral artery disease include smoking, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. The prevalence of peripheral arterial disease in patients ≥50 years of age is 12% to 20% and increases to approximately 50% at age ≥85 years. Smoking, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, unhealthy diet, and physical inactivity were identified as significant modifiable risk factors that should be targeted for secondary prevention. Aim: Determine the influence that the lifestyle of patients treated at the Martín Icaza Hospital in Babahoyo has on the development of peripheral circulatory disorders during the period June-October 2023. Methodology: The research will be quantitative, analytical, and documentary. The clinical history of 60 patients treated at the Martín Icaza Hospital in Babahoyo was analyzed for the development of peripheral circulatory disorders during the period June-October 2023. Conclusion: Thanks to the analysis of the clinical histories of the 60 patients with peripheral circulatory disorders treated at the Martín Icaza Hospital in Babahoyo, it was found that there is a higher incidence in the male sex with 53%, in addition, the age that is most affected was 40 to 49 years with 35%. In the same way, it was possible to obtain that most of the patients were married (35%) and of mixed race (40%).es_ES
