The present experimental work was carried out in the parish of Febres cordero in the province of Los Ríos. The objective of this study was to determine the incidence of bovine Piroplasmosis by blood smears in cattle farms in the Febres Cordero parish. The materials used were vacutainer, anticoagulant tubes, object holder, microscope, giemsa dye, vacutainer needles and cattle. The statistical methodology used was descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation. The results obtained allow us to conclude that blood samples were taken from 300 cattle in different sectors, Colombia baja, Colombia alta, Las Mercedes, Monterreal, El saltadero, La Monserrate, San Francisco and Las Jaguas, all these are belonging to the parish Febres cordero of the province of Los Ríos. The collected samples were used for laboratory tests with the Giemsa staining method, direct observation and which identified 19 positive cases of bovine Babesiosis. Which were determined by age, sex and race. Since these factors are essential to indicate the incidence of hemoparasites. Since these factors are essential to determine the incidence of hemoparasites. In Angus breeds three positive cases, Brahmin four, Brown Swiss three, Girolando zero, Holstein two, Mestizos 7, Jersey zero. In children under 2 years of age, 7 positive cases were identified and in children over 2 years of age, 12 cases of babesia were found. By sex in males there were 10 cases of babesia and in females 11 positive cases of babesia. Resulting in overall 19 positive cases (6.33%) and 281 negative cases (93.67%). Therefore, it is necessary to take precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of the disease.es_ES
