| dc.description | The main objective of this research work is to analyze the incidence of digital platforms in the dissemination of information to the inhabitants of the El Empalme canton, because in effect this has implied benefits by having greater access to the information present on the web, but at the same time it has become a complication because all kinds of information is disseminated on these platforms that are not easily distinguished as true or false, which has led administrators and users of these platforms to challenges in recognizing the information disseminated by these spaces, in addition to this, there is currently a gap in terms of access to technology because not all homes have Internet service. Therefore, the research is also focused on identifying the type of information most widely disseminated through digital platforms and on determining the influence on the opinions and decision-making of the inhabitants of the canton, for the development of this study a type of Field research in conjunction with quantitative and qualitative, also using analytical, interpretative and descriptive methods, for a better investigative result, it was decided to apply a structured survey to the inhabitants of the El Empalme canton and through the results obtained, propose strategies to improve the information quality disseminated through digital platforms to make it safer for the inhabitants. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo principal analizar la incidencia de las plataformas digitales en la difusión de la información a los habitantes del cantón El Empalme, porque en efecto esto ha implicado beneficios al contar con un mayor acceso a la información presente en la web, pero al mismo tiempo se ha convertido en una complicación debido a que en estas una brecha en cuanto al acceso a la tecnología por no contar en todos los hogares con el servicio de internet plataformas se difunden todo tipo de informaciones que no se distinguen fácilmente como ciertas o falsas lo que ha conllevado a los administradores y usuarios de estas plataformas a desafíos en el reconocimiento de las informaciones difundidas por estos espacios, a más de esto en la actualidad existe. Por ende la investigación se centra también en identificar el tipo de información más difundido a través de las plataformas digitales y en determinar la influencia en las opiniones y toma de decisiones de los habitantes del cantón, para el desarrollo de este estudio se aplicó un tipo de investigación de campo en conjunto con la cuantitativa y cualitativa, además empleando los métodos analítico, interpretativo y descriptivo, para un mejor resultado investigativo se optó por aplicar una encuesta estructurada a los habitantes del cantón El Empalme y mediante los resultados obtenidos proponer estrategias para mejorar la calidad informativa difundida a través de las plataformas digitales para que sea más segura para los habitantes. | es_ES |
