dc.descriptionThe present work is aimed at the study of digital screens and their incidence on visual stress in the San Juan Parish Decentralized Autonomous Government from December 2022 to April 2023, given that it is a population that due to their work duties are constantly exposed to the same. One of the factors that intervenes in these screens having a harmful effect is the short distance that is kept between the screen and the user, impacting directly on the eye. Regarding the institution, 20% of the officials of the San Juan municipal GAD have some visual condition that requires the use of glasses, while 80% do not use glasses, but they do not know the consequences of the continuous use of glasses. digital screens without any protection. Therefore, observation and survey were used as research techniques, since they allow to know first-hand the environment of the study population, and also to know with greater certainty the presence of the symptoms of visual stress. As results, it was obtained that most of the employees are exposed for more than 8 hours a day to digital screens and also present the majority of symptoms associated with visual stress, for which a prevention and care guide was created, with which it is expected that awareness is created about the use of digital devices and that the excessive use of electronic devices can be curbed.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo está dirigido al estudio de las pantallas digitales y su incidencia en el estrés visual en el Gobierno Autonomo Descentralizado Parroquial San Juan periodo diciembre 2022-abril 2023, en vista de que es una población que por sus deberes laborales estan constantemente expuestos a las mismas. Uno de los factores que interviene en que dichas pantallas tengan un efecto dañino, es la poca distancia que se conserva entre la pantalla y usuario, impactando directamente en el ojo. En cuanto a la institución, se tiene que el 20% de los funcionarios del GAD municipal de San Juan tienen alguna afección visual que amerita la utilización de anteojos, mientras que el 80% no utilizan anteojos, pero tampoco conocen las consecuencias del uso continuo de las pantallas digitales sin protección alguna. Por lo tanto se utilizaron como tecnicas de investigación, la observación y el encuesta, ya que permiten conocer de primera mano el entorno de la población de estudio, y tambien conocer con mayor certeza la presencia de los sintomas de estrés visual. Como resultados se obtuvo que la mayoria de los empleados se expone por mas de 8 horas diarias a pantallas digitales y tambien presentan la mayoria de sintomas asociados a estrés visual, por lo cual se creo una guía de orevención y cuidado, con la cual se espera que se cree conciencia sobre el uso de dispositivos digitales y se pueda frenar el uso desmesurado de dispositivos electrónicos.es_ES
