| dc.description | Asthma is a lung disease that causes inflammation and narrowing of the airways, which in turn makes breathing difficult. The main signs and symptoms of this disease are wheezing, coughing and chest tightness. The main causal agents of bronchial asthma in the 9-year-old male patient were that the patient is exposed to dust, cigarette smoke because he lives with a relative who is an active smoker, he is also exposed to chemical odors because a few meters from his home there is a banana plantation and all these agents are considered risk factors for the development of bronchial asthma. The clinical case is based on the intervention of the respiratory therapist in a 9-year-old male patient with a diagnosis of bronchial asthma who presents a clinical picture characterized by oppressive chest pain, respiratory distress, cough with expectoration of 24 hours of evolution, which becomes more acute at night, tiredness when walking and wheezing. The correct treatment of patients with this disease depends on the clinical exacerbation, so all patients with this disease should apply the appropriate treatment and care according to the severity | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El asma es una enfermedad pulmonar que causa inflamación y estrechamiento de las vías respiratorias, lo que a su vez dificulta la respiración. Los principales signos y síntomas de esta enfermedad son sibilancias, tos y opresión en el pecho. Los principales agentes causales del asma bronquial en el paciente masculino de 9 años fueron que el paciente está expuesto al polvo, el humo del cigarrillo ya que vive con familiar que es fumador activo, también está expuesto a olores químicos debido a que a pocos metros de su domicilio existe una hacienda bananera y todos estos agentes mencionados son considerados factores de riesgo para el desarrollo del asma bronquial. El caso clínico se fundamenta en la intervención del terapista respiratorio en paciente masculino de 9 años de edad con diagnóstico de asma bronquial el cual presenta un cuadro clínico que se caracteriza por dolor opresivo a nivel de tórax, dificultad respiratoria, tos con expectoración de 24 horas de evolución, y la cual se agudiza por la noche, cansancio al caminar y sibilancias. El tratamiento correcto de los pacientes con esta enfermedad depende de la agudización clínica, por lo que todos los pacientes con esta enfermedad deben aplicar el tratamiento y cuidados adecuados según la gravedad del asma del paciente y seguir estrictamente las recomendaciones del médico. | es_ES |
