dc.descriptionA study was carried out on the risk factors that influence acute diarrheal diseases in preschool children of 3-5 years hospitalized in the IESS Babahoyo, applied research was established as a methodology, since the present study provides knowledge or approaches to treat these pediatric patients this disease, in the same way the documentary investigation allowed to collect the necessary information to delve into the current phenomenon of the investigation. To demonstrate the presence of acute diarrheal diseases in preschool children of 3-5 years hospitalized in the IESS Babahoyo, a sample of 50 representatives of those children was applied, where the survey was used as an instrument, the questionnaire consists of 16 questions that allowed to identify the risk factors, the knowledge of the parents regarding the disease and in the same way the socioeconomic-demographic situation through which they are going through was recognized and thus relate them to the disease. The analysis used is descriptive and explanatory related to the field design. The data obtained were transcribed and evidenced by means of tabulations. The results achieved showed that 51% of the population studied with EDA are those children with the age range of 3 years, whose parents do not have adequate knowledge about the disease and methods to prevent it and regarding the symptoms, in addition to the liquid stools dehydration, fevers and vomiting are evident in the disease.es_ES

dc.description.abstractSe realizó un estudio sobre los factores de riesgo que influyen en enfermedades diarreicas agudas en niños preescolares de 3 - 5 años hospitalizados en el IESS Babahoyo, se estableció como metodología la investigación aplicada, ya que el presente estudio brinda conocimiento o enfoques para tratar aquellos pacientes pediátricos esta enfermedad, de igual manera la investigación documental permitió recadar la información necesaria para profundizar en el fenómeno actual de la investigación. Para evidenciar la presencia de enfermedades diarreicas agudas en niños preescolares de 3- 5 años hospitalizados en el IESS Babahoyo, se aplicó a una muestra a 50 representantes de aquellos niños, donde se utilizó como instrumento, la encuesta, el cuestionario está formado por 16 preguntas que permitieron identificar los factores de riesgo, los conocimientos de los padres frente a la enfermedad y de igual manera se reconoció la situación socioeconómica- demográfica por la que están pasando y así relacionarlos con la enfermedad. El análisis empleado es de carácter descriptivo y explicativo relacionado al diseño de campo. Los datos fueron transcrito y evidenciados mediante tabulaciones. Los resultados alcanzados mostraron que el 51% de la población estudiada con EDA son aquellos niños con la de edad de 3 años, cuyos padres no cuentan con los conocimientos adecuados sobre la enfermedad y métodos preventivos y referente a la sintomatología, además de las deposiciones liquidadas la deshidratación, fiebres y vómitos son evidentes en la enfermedad.es_ES
