dc.description | Congenital hydrocephalus is a pathology that develops with high frequency in pediatric patients and is characterized by a considerable increase in the amount of cerebrospinal fluid present within the cerebral cavities, having as its main accompaniment, pathophysiologically speaking, and the considerable increase in pressure. intracranially, with a parallel reduction of the brain substance. The clinical manifestations depend mainly on the age of presentation and the speed of onset. Hydrocephalus that manifests at birth (congenital) or soon after birth can be caused by any of the following: Abnormal development of the central nervous system that can obstruct the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. Bleeding into the ventricles, a possible complication of preterm labor. The present clinical case is carried out with the purpose of applying the nursing care process in neonates with congenital hydrocephalus, plus bacterial sepsis of the newborn at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hospital in the Neonatology area, applying the nursing care process in newborn by evaluating the 11 functional patterns of Marjorie Gordon to the newborn with hydrocephalus plus bacterial sepsis, investigating the triggering factors of the pathology and its clinical manifestations and thus implementing nursing interventions that contribute to the improvement of the patient's health. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
