The nursing care process (PAE) contributes to improving the quality of life of users, also guarantees the recovery of patients suffering from this condition (lymphatic filariasis). Lymphatic filariasis is a parasitosis that affects the skin and lymphatic tissue. This infection is mainly caused by nematodes of the Filariidae family. The objective of the study was to apply a nursing care plan to a patient with lymphatic filariasis, the process was aimed at satisfying the needs and solving health problems during the disease, for which the anamnesis and physical examination were performed; nursing diagnoses through NANDA. The interventions applied in the study were carried out through the NIC taxonomy and likewise the evaluations with the NOC. In addition, through Marjorie Gordon's holistic nursing model, altered functional patterns were identified, which made it possible to identify and at the same time meet all the patient's needs. A follow-up was carried out during the hospital stay, mentioning the procedures carried out such as pharmacological, non-pharmacological therapeutic plans, general measures and nursing care focused on solving the patient's real and potential problems. Finally, it was recommended through a talk to the patient and family members, about the identification of risk factors, good lifestyle behaviors and encouragement to follow the therapeutic plan provided during hospital discharge.es_ES
