| dc.description | This research project was developed in a community belonging to the Urdaneta canton, with the general objective based on analyzing how depression affects the cognitive deterioration of an adult patient over 70 years of age from the Urdaneta canton. | dc.description.abstract | Este proyecto de investigación de desarrolló en una comunidad perteneciente al cantón Urdaneta, con el objetivo general basado en analizar de qué manera la depresión incide en el deterioro cognitivo de un paciente adulto mayor de 70 años del cantón Urdaneta. Como parte del desarrollo del caso se aplicaron dos test el de Beck y el Mini-Mental, para evaluar la depresión y el deterioro cognitivo, además se recopilaron datos importantes para complementar el desarrollo del caso, así como los antecedentes patológicos personales y familiares, mediante la información que ofreció el paciente y el familiar que lo acompañaba se evidenció que tenía incapacidad visual y auditiva, lo cual compromete aún más la limitación al desarrollo de las actividades normalmente en el paciente, así como su estado anímico que se encontraba inestable con sensación de impotencia, tristeza, y angustia. | es_ES |
