dc.description | The research work was carried out in the Camal Municipal del Cantón Babahoyo, located on Enrique Ponce Avenue in the Province of Los Ríos, with an average temperature of 25.2 ° C, an altitude of 8 meters above sea level, has a geographical location of 46 "South latitude, 97 ° 27 "West latitude and a Tropical Mega Thermal Semi Humid climate. The main objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of Fasciola hepatica in cattle slaughtered in that place, its specific objectives led to size the prevalence of fasciolosis in affected organs, analyze the breed, age, sex and finally determine the origin of animals infected with this parasite. The methods were used: inductive – deductive, deductive – inductive and the observational method, the evaluation variables were the predisposing organs in this case the liver and bile ducts, the race, age, sex and origin of the animals. To obtain optimal results, chi-square analysis was used with the statistical software InfoStat, where an incidence of 1.4% was obtained in the liver of cattle, followed by the breed that predominated, the mestizo breed with a 4.82% incidence, the age presented a higher incidence in cows 2 years with 0.89% and finally the origin of animals which was hosted by the city of Ambato with 5.20%. The conclusion that was reached after the investigation was to determine that fasciolosis is not typical of the coast since all the animals that tested positive for parasitosis were from another canton with a cold climate, where there is the intermediate host of the genus Lymnaea inhabits. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
