dc.description | In the city of Catarama, the effect of using natural growth promoters such as ginger (Zingiber officinale) and cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum or Verum) was evaluated on the production of guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus) in the rearing and finishing stage for 10 weeks, 45 weaned animals were used in three treatments with three repetitions and five experimental units each; The productive parameters such as Initial Weight, Final Weight, Weight Gain, Feed Conversion, Carcass Yield were evaluated, the experimental units were distributed under the Completely Random Design (DCA), the experimental results obtained were subjected to an Analysis of Variance for differences (ADEVA), and a comparison of Means according to Tukey was made at the significance levels of (P ≤ 0.05 and P ≤ 0.01). The results show that the best feed conversion was obtained with T0 (Control Treatment) with a value of 3.15 followed by T2 (Treatment with the addition of 1% cinnamon) with 3.15, finally T1 (Treatment with the addition of ginger 1%) with 3.29; for the rest of the variables under study, T0 was the one who achieved the best results in the final weight, 1207.47 gr was obtained; Weight gain 771.13 grams; Yield to the Carcass with 66% and a Benefit/Cost of 1.83 cents, followed by T2 with values of 1207.40 gr for Final Weight, Weight Gain 747 gr and Yield to the Carcass 66% respectively and without major change in T1 with values of 1158.87 gr for Final Weight, Weight Gain 706.93 gr and Carcass Yield 65% in terms of Cost Benefit Analysis the data obtained were that T0 obtained $1.83, T2 with $1.72, T1 with $1.63; Sufficient reasons to conclude that the use of Ginger (Zingiber officinale) and Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum or verum) as natural growth promoters added as a food supplement to the diet of guinea pigs do not influence the productive parameters, which may be due to the climate factor, Therefore, it is recommended to carry out new investigations where the addition of ginger and cinnamon exceeds 1%. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
