dc.description | This investigative work was carried out in the Babahoyo canton, Province of Los Ríos in the 24 de Mayo educational unit, whose objective of the study was to determine how reading affects the development of critical thinking in seventh-year students of the U.E. May 24, Pueblo Viejo where the general problem is that students have poor reading skills, lack interest in reading, and lack critical thinking. For the development of this research, the bibliographic review and the quantitative method were used as methodology, since surveys were carried out on 30 students in the seventh year of basic education of this institution. dc.description.abstract | Este trabajo investigativo se llevó a cabo en el cantón Babahoyo Provincia de Los Ríos en la unidad educativa 24 de Mayo, cuyo objetivo del estudio fue determinar como la lectura incide en el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico de los estudiantes del séptimo año de la U. E 24 de mayo de Pueblo Viejo en donde el problema general es que los estudiantes tienen habilidades de lectura deficientes, carecen de interés en la lectura y carecen de pensamiento crítico. Para el desarrollo de esta investigación se usó como metodología la revisión bibliográfica y el método cuantitativo ya que se realizaron encuestas a los 30 estudiantes del séptimo año de educación básica de esta institución. También se procedió a realizar un análisis de esas encuestas para así sacar los resultados obtenidos en donde según a la forma que los estudiantes leen y el continuo uso que le den a la lectura dependerá su pensamiento crítico a diferentes situaciones como al pensar correctamente o escoger la mejor alternativa de solución, es decir se debe de comprender las ideas y la información en el texto y aplicar ese conocimiento a la vida de uno, además, los estudiantes también deben entender que necesitan practicar sus habilidades de lectura para mejorar en las conclusiones generales y especificas ya es importante que los estudiantes entiendan lo que están leyendo y desarrollen sus habilidades de pensamiento, a los lectores pobres a menudo les resulta difícil seguir las instrucciones cuando se les presentan tareas de escritura. | es_ES |
