dc.description | The present case study tries to find a relationship between the confinement due to covid-19 and the anxiety of an older adult from the Canton of Valencia who did not present symptoms of anxiety until the confinement due to covid-19 began, the confinement due to covid-19 19 was an event that lasted for a year and a half, harming different people in different ways depending on their context, in this case thanks to the very Dantesque situation experienced and the devastating news that was seen in the media, these symptoms of anxiety had a prevalence time of 3 years causing ailments such as excessive worry, sleep problems, among others.
Using behavioral cognitive techniques, we sought to help reduce the symptoms that had afflicted him so much throughout these 3 years, with the help of the breathing technique, progressive muscle relaxation techniques and muscle restructuring, since behavioral cognitive techniques are the best option because in a short time in which results can be obtained in addition to also using psychometric tools such as the Hamilton anxiety test and the Beck anxiety inventory to have a record of the levels of anxiety that it may present.
When obtaining the results of the psychometric tests, it was shown that the older adult suffered from moderate anxiety that caused somatic symptoms in addition to the psychic ones, thanks to the intervention with the techniques and the explanation of how to carry out these, the individual managed to reduce her anxiety to levels more manageable for her in addition to being able to progress and vent the feelings and emotions that she had. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio de caso trata de encontrar una relación entre el confinamiento por covid-19 y la ansiedad de una adulta mayor del Cantón Valencia la cual no presentaba una sintomatología de ansiedad hasta que inicio el confinamiento por covid-19, el confinamiento por covid-19 fue un evento que duro por una año y medio, perjudico de diferentes maneras a distintas personas según su contexto, en este caso gracias a la situación tan dantesca vivida y las noticias tan desoladoras que se veían en los medios de comunicación, estos síntomas de ansiedad tuvieron un tiempo de prevalencia de 3 años provocándole dolencias como preocupación excesiva, problemas de sueño, entre otros.
Utilizando las técnicas cognitivas conductuales se buscó ayudar a reducir los síntomas que tanto le aquejaban a lo largo de estos 3 años, con la ayuda de la técnica de respiración, técnicas de relajación muscular progresiva y la reestructuración muscular, ya que las técnicas cognitivo conductuales son la mejor opción debido a que en corto tiempo en el cual se pueden obtener resultados además de también utilizar herramientas psicométricas como el test de ansiedad de Hamilton y el inventario de ansiedad de Beck para tener una constancia de los niveles de ansiedad que esta puede presentar.
Al obtener los resultados de los test psicométricos se demostró que la adulta mayor sufría de ansiedad moderada que provocaba los síntomas somáticos además de los psíquicos, gracias a la intervención con las técnicas y la explicación de cómo realizar estas la individua logro reducir su ansiedad hasta niveles más manejables para ella además de poder progresar y desahogar los sentimientos y emociones que esta tenía. | es_ES |
