Internamiento en centro gerontológico y sus consecuencias emocionales en un adulto mayor de 70 años de la ciudad de Babahoyo

| dc.description | Through this case study, the emotional consequences of an adult over 70 years of age due to hospitalization in a gerontological center will be evidenced. There are several consequences and in turn the triggers that cause an imbalance in their emotional state and therefore in their quality of life; since on many occasions’ due attention, management and care are not given in relation to age, health status and individual autonomy, either due to ignorance or lack of interest on the part of family members, which in many cases triggers abandonment in these geriatric centers to be cared for by other people. Said internment, in most cases, will increase the risk of worsening their emotional and health status due to distance from their family and social environment, sudden changes in environment, diet, among others. For the execution of this study and data collection, the qualitative and quantitative method will be used, using techniques such as: clinical interview, clinical observation and psychometric tests with the purpose of collecting important patient data. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | A través del presente estudio de caso se evidenciará las consecuencias emocionales de un adulto mayor de 70 años debido al internamiento en un centro gerontológico. Son varias las consecuencias y a su vez los detonantes que provocan un desbalance en su estado emocional y por ende en su calidad de vida; ya que en muchas ocasiones no se da la debida atención, manejo y cuidado en relación a la edad, estado de salud y autonomía individual ya sea por desconocimiento o desinterés por parte de los familiares lo que desencadena en muchos de los casos el abandono en estos centros geriátricos para que sean cuidados por otras personas. Dicho internamiento, en la mayoría de casos incrementara el riesgo de empeorar su estado emocional y de salud debido al alejamiento de su entorno familiar y social, cambios repentinos de ambiente, alimentación entre otros. Para la ejecución de este estudio y obtención de datos se trabajará con el método cualitativo y cuantitativo, utilizando técnicas tales como: la entrevista clínica, observación clínica y test psicométricos con el propósito de recopilar datos importantes del paciente. | es_ES |
