Making a diagnosis of hemangiosarcoma (HSA) is usually too slow, this is because it is a type of pathology of last evaluation, since there are several diseases that resemble in symptomatology. Hemangiosarcoma (HSA) is a type of vascular endothelial cell cancer that arises in the internal organs, especially in the spleen and heart, it is very difficult to detect. The clinical signs are nonspecific that pet owners do not realise the disease until the tumour breaks down and the affected dogs are taken to an emergency unit due to the consequences of blood loss in the internal cavity of the body. A diagnosis of HSA leads to a very poor prognosis because it has no cure and most dogs survive less than a year. After the preparation of the literature review and the study of the cases exposed, it is concluded that the breeds with the most predisposition are medium and large, elderly, although HSA has no predilection for sex, although a certain prevalence has been observed in males. In most clinical presentations of the HSA, the splenic one stands out due to the high metastasis it presents. Regarding the way to combat the disease, we have that, even using methods such as chemotherapy, with which good results are obtained, surgery is still the most used. It is also concluded that, HSA is not a typical neoplasm since it has an aggressiveness and destructive power above any other type of disease, the rate or time of survival with surgery range from 30 to 120 days while with the application of chemotherapy they reach up to 11 months, in any case it depends a lot on the conditions in which the disease is detected and the treatment that is performed.es_ES
