| dc.description | EPOC is a chronic degenerative disease of great importance for public health, being more frequent in adults from 40 to 45 years old, this pathology is the cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. The prevalence worldwide is 15.7% in men and 9.93% in women and is the third cause of death and blood pressure is the force exerted by blood against the walls of the arteries with a prevalence in the population of 18 to 59 years is 37.2%. The present clinical case deals with a 56-year-old male patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and arterial hypertension, a native of the city of Guaranda, the objective is to carry out an individualized nutritional care process, where the evaluation of the nutritional status was diagnosed through assessments, anthropometrics, laboratory tests, physical/clinical aspects and 24-hour reminder calculation, a nutritional plan of 1750 kcal/day of soft consistency was elaborated, and monitoring was carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the nutritional intervention. | dc.description.abstract | El EPOC, es una enfermedad, crónica degenerativa, de gran importancia para la salud pública, siendo más frecuente en adultos de 40 a 45 años, esta patología es la causante de mortalidad y morbilidad en todo el mundo. La prevalencia a nivel mundial es del 15.7% en los hombres y del 9.93% en las mujeres y es la tercera causa de muerte y presión arterial es la fuerza que ejerce la sangre contra las paredes de las arterias con una prevalencia en la población de 18 a 59 años es del 37.2%. El presente caso clínico trata de un paciente de sexo masculino de 56 años de edad con enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica e hipertensión arterial, oriundo de la ciudad de Guaranda, el objetivo es realizar un proceso de atención nutricional individualizado, donde se procedió a diagnosticar la evaluación del estado nutricional por medio de valoraciones, antropométricas, pruebas de laboratorio, aspectos físicos/clínicos y cálculo de recordatorio de 24 horas, se elaboró un plan nutricional de 1750 kcal/día de consistencia blanda, y se realizó el monitoreo para evidenciar la eficacia de la intervención nutricional. | es_ES |
