dc.description | Laryngotracheitis or croup is an infection caused by the parainfluenza virus, representing 15-20% of pediatric respiratory pathologies. It is usually progressive with a disorder based on subglottic edema, preceded by a catarrhal picture and with a self-directed course. limited to four to ten days in duration, i.e. croup is a clinical syndrome of dysarthria, dry cough, fever, dyspnea, inspiratory stridor, dysphonia, and runny nose. This clinical case focuses on the development of a Nursing Care Process in a newborn with acute laryngotracheitis, characterized by fever, dyspnea, inspiratory stridor, in which a comprehensive care plan will be provided, with responsibility and human quality. Therefore, the eleven functional patterns of Marjory Gordon served as a fundamental tool to improve the patient's behavior, therefore the Nanda, Nic and Noc taxonomies allowed establishing an accurate diagnosis. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
