| dc.description | Acute laryngotracheitis is a common bacterial infection of the larynx and trachea in children, usually caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae. Signs and symptoms may include hoarseness, stridor, fever, sore throat, cough, rapid breathing, or shortness of breath. The condition requires prompt diagnosis and treatment with antibiotics. In the present clinical case, a 4-year-old patient diagnosed with acute laryngotracheitis is studied in which nursing interventions are sought that allow him to satisfy the needs from his hospital admission to his discharge, the results obtained were in diagnosis timely through the initial assessment, it is possible to refer the patient to a specialty area for greater control of the disease, the planned interventions were adequate for the resolution of the symptoms, for which the patient was discharged from the hospital without any complications. This clinical case describes in detail the nursing diagnoses, the nursing interventions and the evolution of the patient based on the nursing interventions. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La laringotraqueítis aguda es una infección bacteriana común de la laringe y la tráquea en los niños, generalmente causada por Streptococcus pneumoniae. Los signos y síntomas pueden incluir ronquera, estridor, fiebre, dolor de garganta, tos, respiración acelerada o dificultad para respirar. La afección requiere un diagnóstico rápido y tratamiento con antibióticos. En el presente caso clínico se estudia a un paciente de 4 años de edad con diagnóstico de laringotraqueítis aguda en el que se busca realizar las intervenciones de enfermería que le permitan satisfacer las necesidades desde su ingreso hospitalario hasta su egreso , los resultados obtenidos fueron en diagnostico oportuno mediante la valoración inicial , se logra remitir al paciente a un área de especialidad para un mayor control de la enfermedad , las intervenciones planificadas fueron las adecuadas para la resolución de la sintomatología por lo cual al paciente se le otorgó el alta hospitalaria sin ninguna complicación. Este caso clínico describe a detalle los diagnósticos de enfermería, las intervenciones de enfermería y la evolución del paciente en base a las intervenciones de enfermería realizadas. | es_ES |
