| dc.description | In the current XXI century, the world populación of the elderly is rigorously increasing, therefore, the work of the Clinical Psychologist increases in this area. The treatment of the older adult is usually quite complex, due to the multiple signs and symptoms that he/she presents, due to the normal deterioration already established for years. Thus, in the present case we will study an older adult with advanced age who presents an emotional shock, when learning of the medical diagnosis established by the professional, thus generating destructive consequences towards his own body. The objective of this study is to inform the treatment that was applied, in order to take it into account in other similar situations that may arise. Providing a scheme established between sessions applied and resolutions taken for optimal treatment, which led us to strong conclusions with the patient. Turning him from a person whose days were numbered, to a relatively functional person, both physically and emotionally. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | En el actual sigo XXI, la población mundial del adulto mayor, está aumentando rigurosamente, por ende, el trabajo del Psicólogo Clínico aumenta en esta área. El tratamiento del adulto mayor por lo general es bastante complejo, por los múltiples signos y síntomas que presenta, debido al deterioro normal ya establecido por años. Es así que en el presente caso estudiaremos un adulto mayor con avanzada edad que presenta un choque emocional, al enterarse del diagnóstico médico establecido por el profesional, generando así consecuencias destructivas hacia su propio cuerpo. El objetivo de este estudio es, informar el tratamiento que se aplicó, para tenerlo en cuenta ante otras situaciones similares que estén presentes. Brindando un esquema establecido entre sesiones aplicadas y resoluciones tomadas para un óptimo tratamiento, que nos llevó a conclusiones contundentes con el paciente. Volviéndolo de una persona que tenía contados los días de su vida, a una persona relativamente funcional, tanto a nivel físico, como emocional. | es_ES |
