As the next health professional I want to contribute with my study to publicize everything related to Intrahospital Pneumonia (NI) is one of the most frequent infections presented by hospitalized patients. Within NI, ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is the most frequent nosocomial infectious complication among patients with acute respiratory failure. NI and VAP are associated in some cases with increased mortality and increased hospital costs. The increased incidence of NI caused by multiresistant microorganisms also causes an increased incidence of inappropriate empirical antibiotic treatment, which is associated with an increased risk of patient mortality. It is very important to know the microorganisms most frequently responsible for these infections in each hospital and in each intensive care unit and the local antimicrobial susceptibility patterns to reduce the incidence of inappropriate antibiotic treatment and improve the prognosis of patients. In addition, different IP and VAP prevention strategies should be used routinely in order to reduce the risk factors related to the appearance of these infections.es_ES
