dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de este estudio de caso se basa en el proceso de atención de enfermería en lactante menor con desnutrición crónica que acude al área de emergencia del Hospital General Martin Icaza al presentar edema leve en miembros inferiores, alteración en alza térmica no cuantificada hace 48 horas, además la progenitora manifiesta que esta inapetente, llama la atención su bajo peso en relación a la edad, irritabilidad, piel pálida seca escamosa, decaimiento, llanto excesivo, debilidad, cabello seco sin brillo y quebradizo. La Desnutrición Crónica una de las enfermedades más frecuente en un lactante menor, Desde el vientre materno y hasta los cinco años de edad. La aplicación del proceso de atención de enfermería nos permite brindar al lactante menor de 2 meses los cuidados de enfermería necesarios. Se logro identificar las necesidades prioritarias en base a los patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon, se realizó un plan de cuidados en el que se utilizó las Taxonomías: NANDA, NIC y NOC.es_ES
