dc.description | The present clinical case was carried out at the Hospital Sagrado Corazón de Jesús de Quevedo, it belongs to a female pediatric patient, 2 years old with a medical diagnosis of Bronchiolitis, the patient enters the emergency area as an outpatient, in the company of her parents, oriented in time, space, person and place for presenting a 24-hour clinical picture of productive cough, nasal congestion and runny nose, dyspnea on medium exertion accompanied by intercostal retractions; On auscultation, she had rales and wheezing noises. The doctor mentioned that the girl had a respiratory condition. She was treated in the general emergency area, her vital signs were: Blood Pressure: 90/60 mmHg, Respiratory Rate: 35 x1, Heart Rate: 95 x1, Temperature: 38.5 oC, Oxygen Saturation: 91%. The application of the nursing care process allows us to provide the necessary nursing care to the patient for whom a cephalocaudal assessment is performed, by Marjory Gordon's functional patterns and laboratory tests: complete blood count, blood biochemistry, CRP electrolytes; Imaging tests: AP chest x-ray, he is admitted to pediatric hospitalization, nursing care is provided, peripheral intravenous cannulation is performed, medication administration according to medical prescription, control and recording of vital signs, oxygen therapy by nasal cannula and other interventions with the aim of recovering the patient's health. dc.description.abstract | El presente caso clínico se realizó en el Hospital Sagrado Corazón de Jesús de Quevedo, pertenece a una paciente pediátrica de sexo femenino, de 2 años edad con un diagnóstico médico de Bronquiolitis, la paciente ingresa de manera ambulatoria al área de emergencia, en compañía de sus padres, orientada en tiempo, espacio, persona y lugar por presentar un cuadro clínico de 24 horas de tos productiva, congestión y secreción nasal, disnea de mediano esfuerzo acompañada de tiraje intercostal; en la auscultación presenta ruidos estertores roncus y sibilancias, el médico menciona que la niña presenta un cuadro respiratorio. Fue atendida en el área de emergencia general, sus signos vitales eran: Presión Arterial:90/60 mmHg, Frecuencia Respiratoria: 35 x1, Frecuencia Cardiaca: 95 x1, Temperatura: 38.5 oC, Saturación de Oxígeno: 91%. La aplicación del proceso de atención de enfermería nos permite brindarle los cuidados de enfermería necesarios al paciente por el cual se realiza valoración cefalocaudal, por patrones funcionales de Marjory Gordon y exámenes de laboratorio: hemograma completo, bioquímica sanguínea, electrolitos PCR; exámenes de imagen: radiografía de tórax AP, es ingresado a hospitalización de pediatría, se le brindan los cuidados de enfermería, se realiza canalización de vía endovenosa periférica, administración medicamentos de acuerdo a la prescripción médica, control y registro de signos vitales, oxigenoterapia por cánula nasal y demás intervenciones con el objetivo de recuperar la salud del paciente.
