dc.descriptionThe purpose of this research is to evaluate the use of the herbicide clethodim for weed control in watermelon crops (Citrullus lanatus), because the growth of unwanted plants in watermelon crops is considered a critical factor in production. steal nutrients from watermelon plants in the soil and are capable of creating a suitable environment for diseases caused by insects or fungi, reducing quality and production to a level that can reach 100%, for this, it is considered to identify the components of the herbicide, describe the most frequent weeds in watermelon crops and finally know the effectiveness of the herbicide clethodim for the control of these weeds. To fulfill the objectives, the unstructured interview technique is used with two agricultural engineers to acquire arguments about the herbicide clethodim and weeds, in addition to the case study and the analysis of texts, where it was possible to determine the factors that affect in current cases for weed control. The conclusions determined that the crops that use clethodim, herbicide for the control of gramineous weeds, a tool that we have present in the agro-input market, this being one of the alternatives that improve the crops and causing favorable effects in the development of the crop and in the reduction of pests and diseases and in turn transform into greater quantity, quality and productivity in crops.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación tiene la finalidad de evaluar el uso del herbicida cletodim para el control de malezas en cultivos de sandías (Citrullus lanatus), debido a que el crecimiento de plantas no deseadas en el cultivo de sandía se considera como un factor crítico en la producción, roban los nutrientes de las plantas de sandías en el suelo y son capaces de crear un ambiente adecuado para enfermedades causadas por insectos u hongos reduciendo la calidad y la producción a un nivel que puede llegar al 100%, para ello se considera identificar los componentes del herbicida, describir las malezas más frecuente en cultivos de sandías y por ultimo conocer la efectividad del herbicida cletodim para el control de éstas malezas. Para el cumplimiento de los objetivos se hace uso de la técnica de la entrevista no estructurada a dos ingenieros agropecuarios para adquirir argumentos sobre el herbicida cletodim y las malezas, además del estudio de caso y el análisis de textos, donde se logró determinar los factores que inciden en los casos actuales para el control de malezas. Las conclusiones determinaron que los cultivos que utilizan cletodim, herbicida para el control de malezas gramíneas una herramienta que tenemos presente en el mercado de los agro insumos, siendo este una de las alternativas que mejoran los cultivos y causando efectos favorables en el desarrollo del cultivo y en la disminución de plagas y enfermedades y a su vez transformarse en mayor cantidad, calidad y productividad en las cosechas.es_ES
