dc.description | Cranioencephalic traumatism are alterations that cause damage to the brain that are generated by blows against objects that many of the cases do not reach to break the skin, this will cause a deficit in consciousness, cognitive, perceptive malfunction and daily activities such as speaking and walk. (Charry et al., 2017). The prevalence is 200 per 100,000 inhabitants, the most frequent cause being traffic accidents (70%) followed by violent behavior and/or falls from height depending on the geographical area. (Charry et al., 2017). The present clinical case is focused on a 12-year-old adolescent who went to the San Francisco de Quito Hospital through the emergency area, after suffering an accident when falling from the terrace, the mother reports that her son hit his head and He was found lying down with an appearance of disorientation, so he went to the hospital for an emergency, the patient was admitted walking and reported a headache and also a lot of pain in the left upper limb, he did not vomit, Glasgow 15/15 he was admitted for his respective evaluation by the doctor, and the respective care of the nursing staff. The clinical case study has as its general objective: Apply the nursing care process through a nursing diagnosis in a 12-year-old male patient with traumatic brain injury in the Pediatrics area of the San Francisco General Hospital in Quito. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El traumatismo Craneoencefálico son alteraciones que provocan daño al cerebro que se generan por golpes contra objetos que muchos de los casos no alcanzan a romper la piel, esto provocará un déficit en la conciencia, mal funcionamiento cognitivo, perceptivo y de las actividades diarias como el hablar y caminar. (Charry et al., 2017). La prevalencia del Traumatismo Craneoencefálico es de 200 por 100.000 habitantes, siendo así la causa más frecuente, los accidentes de tráfico con un (70%), seguidos de conductas violentas y/o caídas de alguna altura según la zona geográfica. (Charry et al., 2017). El presente caso clínico está orientado en un adolescente de 12 años de edad que acudió al Hospital San Francisco de Quito por el área de emergencia, tras sufrir un accidente al caer de la terraza, la madre refiere que su hijo se golpeó la cabeza y lo encontró acostado con apariencia de desorientación, por lo que acude al hospital por emergencia, el paciente ingresa caminado y refiere dolor de cabeza y también mucho dolor en el miembro superior izquierdo, no presenta vómito, Glasgow 15/15 es ingresado para su respectiva valoración por el médico, y los cuidados respectivos del personal de enfermería. El estudio de caso Clínico tiene como objetivo general: Aplicar el proceso de atención de enfermería mediante un diagnostico enfermero en un paciente de 12 años de edad de sexo masculino que presenta trauma craneoencefálico en el área de Pediatría del Hospital General San Francisco de Quito. | es_ES |
