The present clinical case is focused on a 53-year-old female patient who came to the emergency area due to a clinical picture of ± 13 days of evolution characterized by intense abdominal pain, hyperthermia 37.9ºC, yellow sclera, nausea and emesis Vital signs were taken, showing blood pressure of 100/70mmHg, heart rate: 65xmin, respiratory rate: 21xmin, axillary temperature: 37.9ºC and oxygen saturation: 94%, weight 49.5kg and height 145cm. A bladder catheter is placed to proceed with the control of discharges and admissions and also a peripheral route for the administration of pain therapy. Doctor orders ultrasound (liver and bile ducts), chest x-ray, electrocardiogram, VDRL tests, HIV, Hepatitis B and blood count. A physical assessment is performed using the functional patterns of M. Gordon in order to identify the dysfunctional patterns that are compromising the state of health. Once the patient is stabilized in the emergency area, he is transferred to the Surgery I area, for preparation for an endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) surgical intervention. The Nursing Care Process will be elaborated in order to execute an ideal nursing care plan and thus be able to fulfill our objectives proposed in this clinical case study.es_ES
