dc.description | According to a systematic review of updated diagnostic studies, the prevalence of the bicornuate uterus was 6.7% in the general population, 7.3% in the infertile population. Several studies suggest that there is a relationship between spontaneous abortion in the first weeks of gestation and the bicornuate uterus. The miscarriage rate in these patients is 28% to 35%. In addition to the risk of miscarriage, the pregnancies of these patients usually run smoothly until the third trimester, at which time the space is reduced for the baby. This implies an increased risk of preterm birth. The presence of this anomaly in the uterus conditions in many cases that the baby adopts other positions (buttock presentation or transverse situation), which would cause the termination of the pregnancy to be through a cesarean section. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
