As is already known, Covid 19 affects the immune system of each person differently, some patients present mild symptoms and recover in a few days, other patients present severe symptoms that can leave sequelae in the body, as evidenced in the The following clinical case of a 52-year-old male patient attended the respiratory triage area of the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro hospital with a positive PCR-COVID 19 test, the patient presented a 3-day evolution of cough with phlegm, headache, at night he has respiratory distress and ambient oxygen saturation of 89%, which is why his family brings him emergency. A part of the PCR positive test was performed to the patient a TAC pulmonary high resolution which is consistent with pneumonia / pneumonitis viral typical topographic pattern of COVID-19, 50% involvement of the lung volume. The process is applied nursing care so appropriate in relation to the pathology present, during the stay of the patient control and constant monitoring of vital signs, channeling a peripheral line to begin hydration relevant and necessary is done.es_ES
