dc.descriptionAcute bronchitis is a disease that produces inflammation of the bronchi, mucous membranes of the acute type. Generally associated with respiratory tract infections and these are caused mostly by viruses, the incidence of this condition occurs more in the winter season and affects mainly children. In this case, we will see a 5-year-old female patient who arrived at the hospital emergency area with a febrile clinical picture (38ºC) caused by a productive cough of 15 days of evolution, initial rhinorrhea, she underwent physical examinations to which Upon auscultation, she presented bilateral wheezing disseminated on expiration without respiratory distress, for which she evaluated bronchial inflammatory disorder, which led to a diagnosis of acute bronchitis without admission criteria and she was referred for outpatient treatment. Acute bronchitis is the fifth leading cause of disease in the lower airways in children under 5 years of age, it is also one of the most common causes of consultation in hospitals and one of the most common diagnoses in primary care centers and in emergency services and pediatric areas.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa bronquitis aguda es una enfermedad que produce inflamación de los bronquios, membranas mucosas de tipo agudo. Generalmente asociada a infecciones del tracto respiratorio y estas son causadas en su mayoría por virus, la incidencia de esta afección se da más en la temporada de invierno y afecta principalmente a población pediátrica. En este caso veremos a una paciente femenina de 5 años de edad que llego al área de emergencia hospitalaria con un cuadro clínico febril (38ºC) cursado por tos productiva de 15 días de evolución, rinorrrea inicial, se le realizo los exámenes físicos a los que a la auscultación presentaba sibilantes bilaterales diseminados en expiración sin dificultad respiratoria por lo que se evalúa trastorno inflamatorio bronquial, lo que llevo a un diagnóstico de bronquitis aguda sin criterios de ingreso y se deriva para tratamiento ambulatorio. La bronquitis aguda es la quinta causa de enfermedad respiratoria en las vías aéreas bajas dadas en niños menores de 5 años, también es una de las causas más comunes de consulta a los hospitales y uno de los diagnósticos más comunes en los centros de atención primaria y en los servicios de urgencias y áreas de pediatría.es_ES
