| dc.description | As a next professional in the health area, I want to contribute with this study to publicize everything related to acute respiratory failure in elderly patients, which is one of the most affected population with this disease and other respiratory diseases. Nowadays, acute respiratory failure is one of the main reasons for consultation in the different hospitals of the country, which is why it is of the utmost importance to publicize everything that comes with suffering from this disease. For a correct diagnosis, the characteristic clinical picture of this pathology must be recognized and in turn carry out complementary tests to make a correct diagnosis. The elderly population today is one of the most affected people with this disease. Acute respiratory failure "ARF" is one of the leading causes of universally infectious death in the world, because the mortality rate of the disease doubles with age and has a high incidence. That is why this work was carried out focused on an 75-year-old male patient, which collects everything related to acute respiratory failure, as well as help the different professionals in the health area to know more everything what is related to this disease and in turn how treatment should be applied in patients with acute respiratory failure. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Como próxima profesional del area de la salud quiero contribuir con este estudio a dar a conocer todo lo referente a la insuficiencia respiratoria aguda en pacientes de la tercera edad, que es una de la población más afectada con esta enfermedad y otras enfermedades respiratorias. Hoy en día la insuficiencia respiratoria aguda es una de los principales motivos de consulta en los diferentes hospitales del país, motivo por el cual es de suma importancia dar a conocer todo lo que conlleva padecer esta enfermedad. Para un correcto diagnóstico se debe reconocer el cuadro clínico característico de esta patología y a su vez realizar los exámenes complementarios para realizar un correcto diagnóstico. La población de la tercera edad hoy en día son las personas más afectadas con esta enfermedad. La insuficiencia respiratoria aguda “IRA” es una de las primeras causas de muerte universalmente infecciosa en el mundo, debido a que la tasa de mortalidad de la enfermedad se duplica con la edad y tiene una alta incidencia. Es por eso que se realizó este trabajo enfocado en una paciente de sexo femenino de 75 años de edad el cual recopila todo lo relacionado con la insuficiencia respiratoria aguda, así mismo ayudara a los diferentes profesionales del área de la salud a conocer a un más todo lo relacionado a esta enfermedad y a su vez como se debe aplicar un tratamiento en pacientes con insuficiencia respiratoria aguda. | es_ES |
