dc.descriptionAllergic rhinitis is a chronic inflammatory disease mainly of the nasal mucosa which presents symptoms such as itching, rinorrea, nasal congestion and sneezing. In Ecuador, it is expected that 15 and 28% of the population suffers from allergic rhinitis, showing a high rate of incidence of this pathology. Emphasizing that the largest percentage of the population with this disease is not treated in time with adequate treatment, which causes self-limitations in the lives of these patients. In this work, all the information regarding allergic rhinitis, its definition, epidemiology, clinical picture, non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatment is compiled. With the information in this work, it is estimated that it will serve as a guide and help for the different types of professionals in the health area, but especially respiratory therapists in the correct management of patients with this disease.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa rinitis alérgica es una enfermedad inflamatoria crónica principalmente de la mucosa nasal la cual presenta síntomas como prurito, rinorrea, congestión nasal y estornudos. En el ecuador se prevé que del 15 y 28% de la población padece de rinitis alérgica, mostrando una tasa elevada de incidencia de esta patología. Recalcando que al mayor porcentaje de la población con esta enfermedad no se trata a tiempo con un tratamiento adecuado lo que provoca autolimitaciones en la vida de estos pacientes. En este trabajo se recopila toda la información referente a la rinitis alérgica su definición, epidemiologia, cuadro clínico, tratamiento no farmacológico y farmacológico. Con la información de este trabajo se estima que sirva de guía y ayuda para los diferentes tipos de profesionales del área de la salud, pero en especial de los terapistas respiratorios al correcto manejo en pacientes con esta enfermedad.es_ES
