dc.descriptionAsthma is a disease that affects the lungs. It is one of the most common long-term illnesses in children, although adults can also get it. The following is a case of a 3-year-old female patient, the same one who came to the office for an asthmatic attack, with the following symptoms, constant cough, shortness of breath, chest pain and decreased vesicular murmur. The methods that were applied for the management of the pathology were based on rescue therapy procedures with salbutamol in metered dose inhalers, 3 puffs every 20 minutes for two continuous hours, nebulizations with dexamethasone. Based on the treatments carried out, the patient had a very favorable evolution, a better countenance and immediate response could be observed since the procedures that were performed were of vital importance for her recovery, the patient was discharged so that she can continue with home treatment in the event of an asthma episode.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl asma es una enfermedad que afecta a los pulmones. Los métodos y procedimientos de terapia respiratoria son de suma importancia para el tratamiento adecuado en el control del asma bronquial que es una de las enfermedades de duración prolongada más comunes en los niños, aunque los adultos también pueden padecerla. A continuación se presenta un caso de una paciente de 3 años de edad de sexo femenino, la misma que acudió a consulta por presentar crisis asmática, con los siguientes síntomas, tos constante, dificultad para respirar, dolor en el pecho y disminución del murmullo vesicular. Los métodos que se aplicaron para el manejo de la patología fue en base a procedimientos de Terapia de rescate con salbutamol en inhaladores de dosis medida, 3 puffs cada 20 minutos por dos horas continuas, también se le realizo nebulizaciones con dexametazona. En base a tratamientos efectuados la paciente tuvo una evolución muy favorable, se pudo observar un mejor semblante y respuesta inmediata ya que los procedimientos que se le realizaron fueron de vital importancia para su restablecimiento, se le dio de alta a la paciente para que pueda continuar con el tratamiento en casa en caso de presentarse algún episodio de asma.es_ES
