dc.descriptionThe present clinical case study deals with a 59-year-old male patient with hyperopia and presbyopia with a history of cataract surgery. The patient presents for consultation because he presents a decrease in visual acuity in near vision, tearing, headache, the patient indicates that these discomforts occurred at the time of having performed a cataract surgery. It is proposed to identify why there is a decrease in visual acuity closely and to highlight the complications that the appearance of presbyopia entails in order to be prevented and act accordingly. The subject is important because it induces a complete loss of a physiological function, vision is a pillar in the interaction and daily living of people, currently many pathologies affect people over 50 years old, that is why the professionals we must contribute to improve their quality of life. And as optometrists provide adequate eye health care.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de caso clínico trata de un paciente de sexo masculino de 59 años que presenta hipermetropía y presbicia con antecedente de cirugía de catarata. El paciente se presenta a consulta debido a que presenta una disminución de agudeza visual en la visión de cerca, lagrimeo, dolor de cabeza, el paciente indica que estas molestias se presentaron al tiempo de haberse realizado una cirugía de catarata. Se plantea identificar por qué se produce una disminución de agudeza visual de cerca y destacar las complicaciones que conlleva la aparición de la presbicia para estar prevenidos y actuar en consecuencia. El tema es importante porque induce a una pérdida completa de una función fisiológica, la visión es un pilar en la interacción y el cotidiano vivir de las personas, en la actualidad muchas patologías afectan a las personas mayores de 50 años, es por eso que los profesionales debemos aportar a mejorar su calidad de vida. Y como optometristas proveer un adecuado cuidado a la salud visual.es_ES
